Miss selfridge new season.

Myself and Ruth (chic and cheerful) attended the John Lewis fashion and beauty event recently and they introduced us to the new collection by Miss Selfridge.

Ranging from the monochrome look, pretty pastels and bold statement colours and how to work them this spring/summer.

(Johnlewis.com £35.00)

One of the first pieces to catch my eye was this skort (skirt-shorts) the Grecian style cut hides a multitude of sins on the top of the legs. The monochrome pattern is so easy to dress up with a tshirt or blouse and a statement necklace, or for the day a plain white tee and a pair of sandals.

Miss selfridge's new collection is also really aiming to help you to make the most of your pieces by being able to take them from daytime to night.

This pastel coat is just perfect for the inbetween weather we're having at the moment, you could say it is very similar to the offering of coats from Topshop but one major difference, the price! At £55.30 it's an investment into your future wardrobe and will last for seasons to come.

(Johnlewis.com £39.00)

Finally, this statement blazer has to be my favourite piece of the collection, the colour is a flattering hue that would suit all skin types and hair colours. It's cut will give you a great outline and again can be used as a daytime or nighttime piece. A pair of light blue jeans, a white tee and sandals will give you a Jennifer Anniston style.

I really enjoyed this collection and Miss Selfridge is looking great in John Lewis.

Shoe boots.

I don't know about anyone else, but I find the winter boot season so difficult. I never find anything I love and that doesn't make me look any short than I am, or worse dumpy!

But H&M have come up trumps for me, although we're coming into spring these will last ages!

These are a soft suedey type material but do feel like they would hold up to the rain (always a bonus in Wales!).
With a small heel they hug your feet and just feel so nice to wear, plus everything will go with these! I thought they were quite the bargain at £24.99.

Wish list!

Here's what I've been drooling over recently,

First up is a divine perfume from Jo Malone

It's the peony and blush scent - it's a sweet and fresh smelling perfume. It's not too heavy and I would say more of a daytime wear, a lot of the Jo Malone scents can be strong and domineering but this is delicate. The small version here pictured is £39, you can layer the scents as well.

*I also found out recently that if you pop in store they will provide a complimentary hand and arm massage with the scent you would like. That way you can make sure it suits your skin and needs.

I have two real techniques brushes, they are brilliant I have to say. I know you've probably heard that a million times and read it a million times too. I was sceptical as well as a lot of bloggers know each other very well or were gifted, I am neither so I hope that fills you with faith! This pack is a good starting foundation and works out about £4.50 per brush. They're out of stock on feel unique at the moment so I'm biding my time.

I recently picked up a black gypsy skirt from eBay, and I love it. You can style these skirts in so many ways and I'm thinking perfect for the in-between weather we're having. This is one of my picks to style with it, simply type into eBay Celine tshirt and this bad boy will come up for £5.99. Simply style tucked into the skirt and werk the look!

And finally,

I've seen this bedding on other blogs and isn't it the cutest? Asda have really stepped up with their bedding recently. At £12 for a double it's a true bargain, I can't wait to cwtch up into it!

Do you like any of these? What's on your list?

My go to hair product.

I recently went for a 'full head' of highlights .. You know when you look like an alien with foil stuck all over your head? One of those.

Anyway my hair sucks up conditioner like you wouldn't believe, I've been known to use three bottles a week... Bad right? So my hairdresser recommended once a week 'treatment'

So I immediately got to Superdrug and picked up this Herbal Essences bad boy, it was on offer at £1.96 .. Quite the bargain!

I have to say I use very little, although I do have long thick hair this has really made a difference in my regime. It claims to maintain the ends from splitting so far so good for mine, the smell is divine and it only takes five minutes to do its thing. So no uncomfortable sleep with soaking hair!

Also, I just have to mention my nail Polish is Ciate which came in my glossybox, I love it!
